Raised in Brooklyn and Boston, I’ve lived in India, Oregon, and England.
I currently live & work in NYC.
A deep connection between analysis and practice underscores my work and interests. Located in the lush visual world of fairy tales and dreams, I’m interested in analog production processes and research-driven projects. From paint to print to analog animation, my art practice is bracketed only by what [gives me the desired visual effect…]. I’ve worked in a variety of creative fields, including libraries, galleries, studio management, wardrobe, styling and vintage retail. My undergraduate studies (NYU, Gallatin ‘26) focused on the intersection of speech, text and language [or just “text and image”] in contemporary American art, exemplified by word art movement of the 20th century.
[Other projects have included radio DJing & hair styling & researching the history of the animated image ]
